There’s nothing quite as special as a handmade baby blanket, knitted especially for a new arrival. This soft blanket makes for the perfect gift and will be cherished for years to come. The blanket is both the perfect size for a baby or toddler blanket, or as a cosy adult lap blanket to keep you cosy on a winter's evening. The completed blanket measures 110 x 75cm (43 x 30 inches).

What will you need to create your baby blanket?

600g Chunky Yarn - we used Sirdar Jewelspun in Chunky with Wool

A pair of 6mm knitting needles (30-35cm long)

A wide-eyed needle for sewing in the ends, two stitch markers, and a pair of scissors.  

Sirdar Jewelspun with Wool is a cosy, self-striping, lightweight, machine-washable wool blend. The stripes appear as you knit, and this soft, irresistibly squishy yarn is lovely to work with. Sirdar Jewelspun With Wool knits up quickly and adds effortless stripes to simple stitches and depth to textured stitch patterns.

Washing Instructions

Machine washable, wool cycle, wash dark colours separately, do not iron, do not tumble, dry flat, reshape while wet, do not dry clean.
